BUENAVISTA ISLAND RESORT


It is located at the small Ligid Island which can be reached within an hour from Davao City. From Ana Marina, guests will ride a boat to come across the island for 10 minutes. Buenavista Island Resort is owned by the Ayala Family. It used to be a private resort and just recently open to the public who can afford to visit the place.
The island was declared as a marine protected area. It is great for snorkeling’ so if you love to snorkel, go kayaking, explore the underwater enchantment, and wanted to visit turtle sanctuary then you'll definitely seize every moment at the Island Buenavista in the Island Garden City of Samal.

Aside from outdoor fun, Island Buenavista offers a sumptuous buffet table in the Pavilion lavished with fresh seafood, pork, chicken, barbecue, hito, and other local dishes added with a refreshing buko juice. Some exotic mouth watering foods like sea urchins dipped in vinegar, “sea roaches” delectably tasty like peanuts, funny shaped oyster shells which locals amusingly call bilatbato is also served.

After a tiring activity, guest can relax and enjoy the comfort of air-conditioned villas, open beach huts, suites and swimming pool. But what makes The Buenavista Island Resort unique is the concept of “owning an island for a day or a night or for a weekend". Literally guest may rent exclusively the entire island with a maximum capacity of 35 people for overnight stay and 50 persons for a day tour.
